About KORRUS

From lighting to displays

KORRUS has spent over a decade pioneering circadian lighting technology with the world's leading brands. We're applying that same spectral engineering platform to the largest light source most people interact with every day: the display.

Origin story

KORRUS was founded on a simple insight. Light is the most powerful environmental signal for human biology, and the technology to control it precisely already exists. Starting in LED lighting, we developed a spectral engineering platform that allows any light source to deliver the right biological signal at the right time, without compromising visual quality.

What began as research into tunable LED lighting has grown into a comprehensive circadian technology company. Korrus, Inc. is a subsidiary of Ecosense Lighting and part of the OIO Device Family. Today, our patent portfolio, scientific advisory network, and engineering capability position us to address the largest light source people interact with every day: the display.

Proven in lighting

KORRUS technology powers circadian lighting solutions deployed at scale across commercial, healthcare, and residential environments, delivering measurable circadian benefits while maintaining best-in-class color quality. This track record in lighting is the engineering foundation for the display work.

Scientific Lineage

Built on foundational science

KORRUS technology builds on contributions from researchers who fundamentally shaped the fields of LED physics and circadian biology.

Dr. Shuji Nakamura

Nobel Laureate in Physics, 2014 · Soraa co-founder

Professor at UC Santa Barbara and co-inventor of the blue LED, the breakthrough that enabled modern LED lighting and display technology. His foundational work on gallium nitride underpins the LED platform that Korrus circadian product IP builds on today.

Dr. Martin Moore-Ede

Circadian Science Pioneer

Former Harvard Medical School professor and founder of Circadian Light. A leading authority on human circadian rhythms and their disruption by artificial light. His independent research has evaluated display backlights, including ZeroBlue, and their effect on melatonin and circadian biology.
